Ricky’s Track Build Gen 1

Turning a car that’s seen better into something special is a phenomenon we’re no stranger to here at Subie Doo Spares. Ricky’s project is one that truly shows what a vision and a bit of hard work can produce.

Starting life as a knackered old Gen 1 Legacy sedan, Ricky removed the tired old FWD Auto drivetrain and replaced it with the more reliable AWD manual, as well as replaced the engine with one that had been fully rebuilt. In addition, the car is also running new suspension, wheels, brakes, tyres, and other track-prepped components.

Subie Doo Spares is proud to have been a part of this project, and even more pleased to see it tearing up the track at various events around the country - a far cry from its previous life as a base model economy-sedan.

Thanks Jeremy at Subie Doo Spares for the car and the easy supply of parts. But most of all the use of your workshop for heaps longer than I said".”
